🔥 Vybz Kartel recording illegal in Prison? Illegal recordings stopped❗️…

Security Minister, Robert Montague says his team has implemented technological solutions, and frequent searches to bar inmates from recording music illegally.

Though Mr. Montague didn’t call any names, locally, there are three known dancehall deejays currently behind bars, Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm and Zebra.

So who exactly is recording music behind these prison walls?

The Security Minister on April, 27, 2017 at a press conference at its headquarters in Kingston revealed that over 23 expensive smartphones, money, and drugs were found during random searches.

This action comes, following recent assertions made by Member of Parliament, Lisa Hanna that Vybz Kartel’s music should be banned from public airwaves because he is a convicted murderer.

The days of songs being illegally recorded in prison are over.

According to Robert Montague, the Department of Correctional Services has “stopped the recording of songs illegally”.

Montague, who is Jamaica’s minister of national security, made the comment in the House of Representatives April, 27, 2017.

His comments come amid a firestorm over a song which sees young dancehall artiste Shenseea collaborating with incarnated deejay Vybz Kartel for a song titled ‘Loodi’.

Kartel, who is widely believed to be recording songs in prison, was transferred from the Horizon Adult Remand Centre to the maximum security Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre in November.

Last month, Corrections Commissioner Ina Hunter said that claims that Kartel, is recording from prison may only be regarded as speculation as there has been no evidence to confirm that this is indeed happening.

She said an investigation is continuing to determine the truth and promises that the findings will be made public.
